1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the BrillSign platform, website, or services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms for that organization and represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Description of Services
BrillSign provides a decentralized, encrypted electronic signature and document management platform. Our services include cryptographic signature generation, document integrity verification, and decentralized proof storage. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Note: Since BrillSign uses client-side encryption, losing your private keys or account access may result in the permanent inability to decrypt your documents. BrillSign cannot recover these keys for you.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law.
- Transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks.
- Use the service for money laundering or financing illegal activities.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of BrillSign and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
You retain all rights to the documents you upload. BrillSign claims no ownership over your content.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall BrillSign, nor its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of the Service.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation a breach of the Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these terms will be settled through binding arbitration in San Francisco, CA.
